Junior shuttlers leave for Mexico

BADMINTON: A Sri Lankan junior badminton team comprising four well
experienced national players left for Mexico last Thursday to
participate in the World Junior Badminton Championships 2010 which is
being held from April 16 to 25 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The championship is organised by the World Badminton Federation and
27 countries are participating.
The Sri Lanka Badminton Association (SLBA) team will be captained by
young Dilshan Kariyawasam of Ananda College, Colombo who is representing
the country at the World Championship for the third time and other
players are: Malinka Ranasinghe (S.Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia),
Sahan Ratnayake (Ananda College) and Chiranthaka Minimuthu (Alethea
International, Dehiwela).
The squad accompanied by official Umpire at the championship Rohana
de Silva.
