NDB gifts brand new vehicle to Super Star winner

Shanika Madumali Ratnayake from Polgahawela, the proud winner of the celebrated musical reality show, Sirasa Super Star Season 3, triumphantly walked away with the grand prize of a brand new vehicle, sponsored by the Official Banker of the Show, NDB Bank.

NDB Bank has partnered the famed musical reality show since 2009 as a result of the Bank's aim to promote and empower promising Sri Lankan youth and talent.

The bank believes that the Sirasa Super Star competition helps Sri Lankan talent and bring them to the limelight by providing an unimaginable opportunity to perform in front of thousands of Sri Lankans.

Sirasa Super Star, which concluded its 3rd season on May 8, has over the years brought numerous talented youth into the spotlight.

The key to the vehicle was officially handed over to Shanika Madumali Ratnayake by the Chief Executive Officer of NDB Bank, Russel de Mel who commented on the occasion said, 'Being a bank that has always been dedicated towards empowering the youth of Sri Lanka, we felt that Sirasa Super Star was the ideal programme to partner, to fulfill the Bank's aim to develop and empower Sri Lankan youth.

It gave NDB Bank the opportunity to make a positive change in Sri Lankan lives, while changing the lifestyle of promising youth'.

It's truly an honour for NDB Bank to be involved in a venture which gives talented upcoming singers in the country a platform to succeed in their careers and an opportunity to make a change in their lives? He further said, 'I also congratulate Shanika Madumali and wish her a successful career'.NDB Bank took innovative measures towards increasing its commitment of being the Official Banker for Sirasa Super Star by developing the Savings Star Account to improve savings habits of the youth.
