 The song was released by Michael
Jackson to fulfil his longtime desire to launch his charity Heal The
World to help children in need. It was a well-known fact that he felt
closer to children than to people his own age. The objective of Heal The
World is echoed in the words of the song... “To heal the world, make it
a better place to live in and create planet harmony...”
The charity based in Los Angeles and London is dedicated to improving
conditions in paediatric medicine, in educational resources, reducing
hunger among the children of the world, eliminating cruelty to children
and above all, make people understand that children should be guided to
love one another and not hate one another and learn to live in harmony.
 A non profit organisation Heal The World is controlled by a board of
directors and ironically Michael Jackson at the launch said “I care very
deeply about the foundation and the cause. I consider this to be my most
important mission on earth and as long as I live I will continue to do
as much as I can.”
But unfortunately Michael went too soon...
