The Intec CXO Media Conclave 2010 is the premier event for telecom
professionals looking to get and stay ahead of the curve.
The forum provided the highest standards of performance, flexibility
and robustness to help service their customers effectively and
profitably.
The Media Conclave 2010 was held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel last
week.
Speaking at the forum LIRNEAsia Chairman/CEO, Dr. Rohan Samarajiva
said, 'At present the Sri Lankan telecom services providing sector has
improved tremendously and their service also will be provided to the
European Market.
Conventional telecommunication methods are no more valid. People
prefer to acquire innovative value added new technology. Majority of the
young generation in the country prefer to surf Internet via their mobile
phones though some of them are in the low income range.
Our research has proved that the mobile phones have become a
necessity for some people. They need more applications such as
messenger, blogging, gaming, down-loading music and music videos.
The service providers must ensure customer loyalty as people change
their Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) very often,' he said.
Intec South Asia and India Vice President Bikram Bedi said, 'Sri
Lankan communication industry has experienced rapid growth over the last
few years and the constant evolving business environment has meant that
companies are focusing more and more on developing the customer's
experience as well as introducing latest technologies to these
customers.
