Vesak Sadaham Charika

‘Sadaham Charika’, under the patronage of its pioneer Ven. Shastrapathi Maharagama Mahinda Thera was launched this time at the slums near Bambalapitiya railway station. Rev. Fr. Sunil Gunesekera of Dutch Reformed Church, Wellawatta and Rev. Fr. Bob Rodrigo of St. Lawrence’s Church, Wellawatta too participated at the event.
Educational materials, clothes, dry provisions and drinking water were provided to the beneficiaries.

They were made aware of the importance of Buddha dhamma in the lives of people. Measures were also taken in the hope of strenthing the economic and spiritual lives of the slum dwellers at Wellawatta, Bambalapitiya, Dehiwala and Kirulapona.
 

The event was organized by the International Buddhist Centre Viharaya,Wellawatta for the 10th consecutive year.
