Pradeep Liyanage and Kandy lead
RUGBY: Sri Lanka captain and the deputy skipper of Kandy SC centre
Pradeep Liyanage took the lead at the Caltex/Sunday Observer Most
Popular Ruggerite and Most Popular Rugger Club competition 2010 at the
end of count number 1 and 2.
Liyanage piloted Sri Lanka to win the Five Nation Division One Rugger
Tournament held in Singapore last April, enabling the country to qualify
to compete with the top four nations in Asia - Japan, Korea, HongKong
and Kazakhstan.
CR&FC’s young fly half Nigel Ratwatte a former Trinity College junior
player who had represented the national rugby team of Mauritius is
placed second.
