People's Bank spreads its wings
People's Bank recently re-commenced operations in Paranthan,
Killinochchi and Mankulam with the Governor of the Central Bank Ajith
Nivard Cabral opening them June 07.
People's bank would now be able to enhance its services, support SMEs
and offer loans at low rates through schemes such as Pibidena Uthura
which only charges a 12% interest.
Upon opening the branches several loans for fisheries, agriculture,
industries, and business sectors were awarded.
The new branches equipped with state of the art technology will
provide a fully-fledged service on par with other People's Bank online
branches, with speedy accessibility to its network of 666 branches.
The banking population in the areas will be able to enjoy 24 hour ATM
facilities, spacious customer services areas, parking facilities and
superlative services.
Whilst the bank offers a wide array of financial facilities targeted
at agriculture, fisheries, SMEs, businesses, housing, construction and
self employment; the government introduced low interest loan scheme-
Pibidena Uthura offered by the bank will be the main attraction. |
