AVIVA NDB winner at National HRM Awards

AVIVA NDB’s General Manager - Human Resources, Chathuri Munaweera, with the award, flanked by the company’s HR team.

AVIVA NDB Insurance won silver at the National HRM Awards ceremony held recently. Nearly 50 companies competed for the awards presented by the Association of Human Resources Professionals (AHRP) to recognise organisations that have the best HR practices.

Companies were evaluated under six categories - Talent Supply, Leadership and Talent Management, Performance Management, Building Capability, Reward and Recognition, and Employment Relations. Hewitt international, the world's largest provider of HR business process outsourcing, carried out in-house audits of the short-listed companies, which included in-depth discussions with the Managing Director, key senior managers and the HR team.

The independent panel of judges that evaluated the audit results comprised Sri Lankan academics and professionals as well as international HR and business leaders.

Managing Director Shah Rouf considered the achievement a reflection of how the Company is striding forward. "Managing our most important resource, our people, with professionalism also means we care about the progress and well-being of everyone who contributes to the success of AVIVA NDB. I'm extremely pleased that our focus on HR has received this recognition for achieving global benchmark standards."
