‘I was sought-after by men of all ages’

German ideology has a long line of distinguished ancestry. Germany being a highly developed country, has always had better trade with Asia. About the Germans, it is said that one German is a mad scientist, two Germans are a beer parlour, and three Germans a war. But yet Germany has made immense contribution to sports, and music.

It is in this country I was born. I lost my mother at an early age and my father had to work hard to bring me up as a single parent.

My father was not a musician but he had the inclination and sensed a musical instrument having wire strings that sounds when struck by felt covered hammers operated a keyboard. As such, giving life to me was one of his exotic creations.

So I was named piano and turned out a keyboard instrument in which tone is produced by strings. He made a lot of modifications on my body. The vibration of the strings is transmitted to a sound board by means of a bridge over which the strings are stretched. The sound board amplifiers the sound and affects its tone quality. The hammers that strike the strings are affixed to a mechanism resting on the far ends of the keys, which contains 88 black and white keys.

To bring out the sound, strings struck by hammers, worked by levers from a keyboard (vibration being stopped by dampers when keys are released) and with pedals regulating the quality of the tone. By now I had reached womanhood and had become an attractive figure a much sought-after-woman by men of all ages.

Most of my lovers were music directors, pianists, and lyric writers. When Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Muzio Clementi began to write piano music, it became the preferred medium for salon music.

My father realised that I was talented and what I was destined for. So he looked for partners; a lover who could share the same view and make his one and only daughter a world renowned musician. Since I came from a breed of instrumental music, my father was determined to give me in marriage to a world reputed pianist. He advertised in the local newspapers. But the goal was still quite distant.

However destiny had much more for me inshore. A handsome looking man, an artist of superb talent came home.

No sooner his fingers rang up and down my body gave me a thrilling sensation. I screamed with pleasure. My future husband was scheduled to give a piano performance at Odeon Hall in London. I was thrilled at the news. I was happy with my future partner who guided me so well to become accomplished player.

Every night we practised for hours and in due course, I acquired the required skill to accompany the maestro to the performance in London. The day dawned when I accompanied the maestro the night at Odeon Hall. The hall was full of world renowned musicians and music lovers. After the performance just a few moments before the curtain fall it was a standing ovation with her majesty the Queen as chief guest. It was a happiest moment in my life that I became a bride the same night.
