Kavinga a sparkling ton for NCC

CRICKET: Opener Rishan Kavinga hammered a sparkling 107 from 79 balls
with two sixes and 20 boundaries as NCC piled up a formidable 311 for 6
in their first innings on the second day of their SLC Under 23 division
one cricket tournament match against Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club which
continued at Welisara yesterday.
Navy SC: 259.

Moors well placed
Opener Shehan Jayasuriya hit a splendid 124 with one six and a dozen
of boundaries to put Moors SC in a strong position on the second day of
their SLC Under 23 division one cricket tournament match against the BRC
which continued at Havelock Park yesterday.

Ragama CC in lead
Middle order batsman Vimukthi Perera hit a fighting half century to
help Ragama CC snatch a close first innings lead over Colts CC on the
second day of their SLC Under 23 division one cricket tournament match
which continued at Havelock Park yesterday.

Maduka a good double
Sri Lanka youth cap Maduka Liyanapathiranage produced a fine all
round performance as Chilaw Marians CC kept their hopes alive of pulling
off a first innings victory over Bloomfield on the second day of their
SLC Under 23 division one cricket tournament match which continued at
Reid Avenue yesterday.
