Three-wheel drivers to play rugby

RUGBY: Twelve teams will scrum down in the inaugural Inter-Club Seven-a-Side Rugby Tournament organised by the Central Province Rugby Football Union which will be worked off at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium in Kandy on Saturday, July 17.

Mohan Samarakoon said one of the participating teams will be Three-wheelers Association who are practising hard to give the other teams a good fight. In Kandy Three-wheel Drivers have shown great enthusiasm and they are rugby fanatics who hardly ever miss rugby match played in Kandy. They even travel down to Colombo in groups to witness matches played in Colombo. It is no surprise that on a match day, some of the three-wheel stands are empty as they park their vehicles and are in the grounds to witness rugger matches.
