Visha Manohari De Silva, the creator, choreographer, educationist commenced pursuing her illustrious career in dancing at the tender age of 12 while a student of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo. Having completed her secondary education, she entered the University of Kelaniya and obtained a degree in Fine Arts.

Visha was fortunate to be guided by the internationally acclaimed 'Guru', the late Chithrasena and his exponent spouse Vajira. She was a permanent member of the Chithrasena and Vajira dance troupe which travelled widely throughout the world. Therefore, it was a rare honour for Visha to be one in the Chithrasena Dance Toupe. She had participated in most of Chithrasena's great creations like 'Karadiya', 'Nala Damayanthi', 'Shiva Ranga', 'Kinkinikolama' and 'Chandalika' She was also fortunate to participate in 'Sirisangabo', 'Sri Wickrama' and 'Samudradevi', the great dramas which exposed the rich Sri Lankan culture to the rest of the world. Visha was one of the few privileged dancers to perform at the dance concert held in honour of the world renowned maestro Pandit Ravishankar during his visit to Sri Lanka in 1981.

She currently holds the position as the dancing instructor at the Wycherly International School, one of the oldest international educational institutions in Sri Lanka. Visha is probably the only dancing instructor who is holding a regional directorial position at an Indian International School chain.

She holds the position at the prestigious Ryan International School with 120 branches throughout India.

Visha's students have travelled to many countries like Denmark, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Japan, Switzerland, Korea and Hungary in the recent past.

The concert on Tuesday will have many different dancing performances done by her senior students covering traditional dances and the drums as well as modern dances.

Many renowned artists in various fields are scheduled to attend this spectacular concert which will be an unforgettable evening.
