Caltex Xpress Lube MRF Car Care (Pvt) Ltd, received an award by the
National Productivity Organisation for its outstanding productivity in
service quality and efficiency, at the National Productivity Competition
held recently.
The MRF car care service station has been a Caltex branded channel
partner for the past seven years.
The decision to implement 5S by MRF was to elevate the process and
standard used for material and equipment waste reduction and service
delivery time. Further, all employees were actively encouraged to
participate in problem resolution. The 5S implementation helped
facilitate more regular customer feedback on the total value experience
at Caltex Xpress Lube. After the new implementation of 5S, the station
has achieved a noteworthy process to recycle and reuse waste water. More
vehicle and worker safety signage were implemented. Quality management
circles were appointed to help administer and sustain the new quality,
efficiency and productivity improvements implemented.
The Caltex Xpress Lube concept is one of the company's international
value propositions introduced to Sri Lanka with the aim of delivering
utmost satisfaction to its customers. Presently, over 8 Caltex Xpress
Lube centers, equipped with the latest technology and expertise have
been established to cater to customer needs throughout the country.
These service centres are mandated to carry out a 16-point
maintenance check on vehicles which are conducted by service personnel
who have undergone extensive training by specialized Caltex Xpress Lube
trainers.
