Word has gone around and I was in high demand

I am proud of my ancestors and my pedigree. Many of the greatest composers of European and classical music had come from my country.

Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Bruckner, Brahms, Wolf, and Johann Strauss were born in Vienna. The Danube runs through it. This 1,750 mile long river has eight nationalities living along its banks. It is no longer as blue as is proclaimed in Austrian legend and song. What Vienna has now is sufficient to make it one of the most beautiful and livable capitals of the world.

Vienna is historical, Vienna is beautiful. Vienna is the cradle of European music. Vienna has nearly a quarter of Austria’s population of seven and half million living in it. So I am proud to be born in Vienna. I was brought to this world of man-made stuff.

I belong to a category of products formed by a mixture of lead oxide and molten glass called crystal. From my young days my parents brought me up with good care. I was subject to various changes in my body. A crystal glass or lead crystal is relatively heavier when compared to usual glass, due to the glass being treated with lead oxide crystal can consist of up to 35% lead which has a sparkle elegant look.

To get a prefect shape of my body the glass is hand-cut or machine-cut to make facets which results in the glass having a higher refraction index and produce a sparkling effect. I had passed my childhood days and blossomed into a full grown up woman. My popularity has spread among manufacturers, and business tycoons.

The word had gone around and I was in high demand. Very soon the manufacturers of glassware were busy at work. They turned out an excellent range of products chessboards, candle stands of various shapes and sizes as well as a range of designed dishes, water tumblers, unusual glasses, chandeliers, decanters, trophies and sets of wine glasses, ranging from the smallest liqueur glass to the large champagne glasses. Added to this is a vast selection of ornaments, which are ideal to be given as gifts to loved ones, or to decorate your homes and add glamour to your elegant furniture.

Once there was a grand display of my variety showcased to the customers, corporate clients, and crystal collectors. Some of the best crystals from around the world such as Edinburgh Crystals from Scotland, Swarovski Crystals, Bohemian Crystals from the Czech Republic and a selection of best Italian crystals were on display. Within a couple of hours the showcases were empty.

Visitors have grabbed home all the stuff. It was a grand occasion where I was among the best at a lavish banquet. I was quite happy to be among a gathering of distinguished guests where diplomats, princes and princesses and the marquises wined and dined. All who gathered were highly impressed with my elegant looks. A sense of pride was with me receiving accolades from all who gathered that evening.
