Imperial Teas celebrates achievements

Managing Director, Imperial Teas (Pvt) Ltd, Jayantha Karunaratne makes his address.

Imperial Tea Exports won the 'Outstanding Exporter of the Year' and the 'Best Sri Lankan Brand Exporter, 2009', becoming the first company to receive both awards at the NCE Awards held in September.

To celebrate these achievements the company hosted a function where its Chairman Dickie Juriansz, thanked the government, embassies, bankers, suppliers and others who directly supported it in its endeavours.

Managing Director, Jayantha Karunaratne said "We are within the top 05 in packeted tea exports and one of the biggest Sri Lankan brand exporters and the largest value added tea exporter to Russia.

We have a presence in Russia, Dubai, Australia, China, USA and Kenya with representative offices. As our main focus is on brand marketing, we actively involve in brand promotions and brand building campaigns for our target markets." With an annual export turnover of over US$ 61 million the company boasts of a loyal clientele from markets across the globe including Russia, Iran, Dubai, USA, Canada, Europe, China, Australia, Japan and the Middle East.
