Costume portrayal of personalities by contestants

To be in a fantasy world even for a short period of time is something all of us yearn for. The fantasy world became a reality for a whole day for the Ms Lanka contestants when Fantastic Fantasy a Mini title with a difference, was played out last week at Technique International. Each contestant was given the opportunity to portray in costume a character in history or the past, or a famous personality at present. The contestants were overjoyed and with help from the make-up artistes team the result was a portrayal of a variety of personalities.

There was Cleopatra, Rapunzel, Anna Pavlova the ballerina, Jodar Akbar, Ichiyo Hihuchi, Jasmine, Goddess Athena, Queen Elizabeth I, Esmeralda, Princess Anastasia, the Austrian Queen Zita, Barbie Doll, Poko hunter and the South Africa Dance Waca Waca.

The next mini title Ms Designer will be held on December 4 at 11 a.m. at the Liberty Plaza Lobby. Incidentally the happenings on this day is sponsored by Liberty Plaza.

The Sunday Observer's Most Popular contestant's competition, with just two weeks more for the final at the BMICH, is gaining momentum. Last week Kaushamali Jayasekera was in the lead with Krishani Palihawadana in the second place.

Today the count reflects Kaushamali heading the list with Bavani in second position and Apsara moving in to the third position. Keep your votes rolling and ensure that your favourite contestants wears the Sunday Observer glittering crown.

The Ms Lanka 2010 Beauty Pageant in all its splendour will go on the boards on December 11 at the BMICH. It will presented by Technique International in association with the Sunday Observer, Sri Lanka's leading English newspaper with the largest circulation. Ms Lanka 2010 for Ms Asia 2011 is in aid of the programme "Be the Wings Beneath Their Rings" - Education & Vocational Training for the Differently Abled and Underprivileged.
