Sampath Bank opened a branch at Rikillagaskada, a rural township
where agriculture takes pride of place, recently.
With the establishment of this branch, a special gift scheme was

HDFC Kegalle relocates
HDFC Bank entered Kegalle 20 years ago as a building society, to
provide financing for housing. After receiving the status of a
specialised bank HDFC is in a better position to offer attractive
services such as savings and fixed deposits in addition to providing
financing for residential purposes.
The bank is also in the forefront of providing convenient banking in
the form of palm top banking with the objective of capturing the
community, who are not in the main banking system and at the same time
assisting them to develop their savings habit. The bank is connected to
the ATM network of Sampath bank with access to 228 ATMs.
BOI Job Fair creates opportunities for Wellawaya youth
The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the
Ministry of Labour Relations and Productivity Promotion organised a Job
Fair at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Conference Hall, Wellawaya recently.
The fair created an ideal opportunity for unemployed youth in the
Wellawaya, Buttala and Monaragala areas, to find suitable employment
opportunities. More than twenty six leading BOI enterprises who seek for
staff participated at the fair.
Approximately 1000 job seekers were given the opportunity to meet
company representatives and select jobs in diversified fields. This was
a new experience for the youth of the area. The District Secretary
Monaragala U K S Mihindukulasuriya was the Chief Guest.
