between Australia and England starting at the Sydney Cricket Ground on

England are bidding to win an Ashes series Down Under for the first
time since Mike Gatting’s team in 1986/87.
England were the last team to beat Australia at the famous SCG in
2003 when Andy Caddick claimed 7-94 after Michael Vaughan had amassed
183 in the second innings to pull off a massive 225-run triumph.
England have a good record in Sydney, winning 21 times in 53 Tests.
The SCG has a reputation as spin-friendly, opening up the
possibilities for England’s Graeme Swann and the probable Australian
spinners, Steven Smith and Michael Beer.
It will be the 99th Test played at the SCG.
