Drawn game at Moratuwa

Wesley College, Colombo carried away major honours in their drawn inter school under-19 game against Prince of Wales College worked off at Moratuwa.

Resuming at 54 for 4 in reply to the visitors total of 209 runs Cambrians were shot out for 124 runs with some resistance coming off the bat of Tarindu Dilshan who made 33 runs. D.S. Batholamenz captured 5 for 43 for Weslyites.

In their second essay when a heavy downpour put a halt to the game at 3.30 p.m. visitors were 119 for 3 with N.L.L. Perera scoring 64 runs.

Wesley College: 209 and 119/3 (N.L.L. Perera 64, A.D. Fonseka 31, Tarindu Dilshan 2/47).

Prince of Wales: 54/4 overnight 124 (Tarindu Dilshan 33, D.S. Batholamuez 5/43, M.S. Thawfeeq 2/18).
