Mortein assists flood victims
Mortein, handed over a stock of Mortein coils worth over Rs half a
million to Minister of Disaster Management Mahinda Amaraweera as relief
assistance to flood affected families of the Eastern and Southern
provinces and other affected areas at the Ministry of Disaster
Management, recently.
Mortein Coils were also distributed through the Save the Children
Fund to displaced persons in the Eastern province.
The Managing Director of Reckitt Benckiser, Rahul Murgai said
"Mortein has always worked islandwide to assist in the eradication of
the mosquito menace through awareness campaigns, educating the people on
how to control the spread of mosquito borne diseases." Product Group
Manager Surangi Fernando said "In the aftermath of the floods following
torrential rain, it was important to provide victims with Mortein - the
complete pest protection brand to eradicate the mosquito menace which
would otherwise give rise to diseases among the families of flood
victims in the affected areas".
