DGM Marketing at Seylan

Seylan Bank PLC has appointed marketer Tilan Wijeyesekera as Deputy General Manager - Marketing, responsible for the marketing, sales and business development functions of the bank.

Wijeyesekera has a wide array of experience in Strategic Planning, Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Brand Management, Business Development, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Sales.

Chairman Seylan Bank Eastman Narangoda said: "We are happy to welcome a top professional of the calibre of Tilan Wijeyesekera to Seylan Bank. With his keen marketing acumen and wide ranging skills, the Board of Directors and I are confident that he will contribute immensely to Seylan Bank's next era of growth".

Wijeyesekera is the Vice President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, and is also on its Council of Education. He was the chairman of the Effies Awards in 2009, on the steering committee of the Chillies Awards 2008 and was a moderator for the international and local judging panels in 2007 and 2008.

Wijeyesekera is a member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He is presently doing his MBA. He holds a Practising Marketer (SL) status and is a product of Royal College Colombo.
