CRICKET: Leg-spinner Sachithra Perera captured five wickets
for 41 to spearhead Ananda College to a rousing eight wicket outright
victory over Dharmaraja College Kandy in their inter school under 19
cricket tournament match which concluded at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.
Ananda: 287 and 45 for 2.Dharmaraja: 127 and 203 (H. Munaweera 69, S.
Weerakkody 31, S. Perera 5 for 44, R. Sharmen 2 for 92).
Royal settle for a draw
Royal College after been asked to follow on came back magnificently
to force a draw to their inter school under-19 cricket tournament match
against Wesley College which concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Wicket keeper batsman Rukshan Weerasinghe hit a fighting half century
to help St. Benedict's College force a draw to their inter school under
19 cricket tournament match against St. Joseph's College which concluded
at Darley Road yesterday.

inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which commenced at
Wijerama Mawatha yesterday.

Opener Sineth Gunawardena hit a top score of 71 to lift Nalanda
College to 203 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their
inter school under 19 cricket tournament match against Mahanama College
which began at Katunayake yesterday.
Nalanda: 203 (S.Gunawardena 77, M. Vimukthi 34, V. Wickremarachchi
27, C. Wanniarachchi 3 for 54).

Sebs by winnings

St. Sebastian's Collegebeat St. Sylvester's College,Kandy by innings
and 20 runs in their inter-school under-19 cricket match played at
Moratuwa.With this victory Sebs have six outright wins under their belt
from twelve outings for the current season.
Resuming at 66 for 7 on day two Sylvestrians were bowled out for 104
runs with Vishwa Fernando claiming 5 for 26. Following on visitors did
much better to score 147 runs with Menaka Nanayakkara and Sumedha
Dissanayake contributing 35 and 36 respectively. Marlon Fernando took 3
for 38 for Sebs.
