Pranama presents scholarships worth Rs. 7.6 million

Pranama scholarship winners placed first in their districts at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination with the Directors of Ceylinco Life.

Scholarships worth Rs. 7.6 million were awarded to 142 young Sri Lankans at the 10th edition of Ceylinco Life's Pranama scholarships program recently bringing the cumulative value of scholarships disbursed by the company to Rs. 50 million.

Ceylinco Life's Managing Director and CEO R. Renganathan said, "Since the inception of this scholarship program we have given 1292 scholarships to the future leaders of our country. We are happy that most of our scholarship winners have now become doctors, engineers, accountants and lawyers and are doing well in society."

He said the company's bond with the scholarship winners does not end with the scholarship period.

Last year the company initiated the Pranama Club that brings together past scholarship winners, who can be considered Ceylinco Life ambassadors, for various activities that would enhance their knowledge and personalities.
