The much talked about musical extravaganza of the season is shaping
up well, our cameras caught the choristers of the Canto Perpetua choir
rehearsing relentlessly to give the audience a musical treat as they
prepared for 'Rally Round Pops', which is scheduled to take place from
May 13-15 from 7.30 p.m. at the College Hall under the direction of
Vinodh Senadeera. Organised by the Parent Teacher Association of STC,
the concert is being sponsored by Foster & Reed with Gold FM offering
electronic media sponsorship.
Many artiste's are rendering their talent to spice up the concert and
Shanon Jacobs has been roped in to be part of it after her successful
stint at the recently concluded full house shoe titled 'The Wish List'
presented by Music.inc. It feels great to be working with the boys again
says Shannon with a smile.
I have been working with Canto Perpetua Choir since 2007 and they
only keep getting better she said. Sets are being erected to ensure that
the pop era of the 70s, 80s and early 90s is relived throughout the
concert and around 600 students will take part in the much awaited
production of this year.
The after show party will be held outside the hall with a carnival
with many exciting stalls being set to entertain viewers who would
already have hit the 'peak' of pop entertainment.
