Aravial project ready

People of the North who lost their houses due to the three-decade long conflict have now built houses utilising State loans together with their own savings and labour.

They have shown to the world that they can stand on their own feet and meet any challenge, said Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa.

He was addressing a meeting held at the Aravial Nagaral Housing Project in Kilinochchi, constructed by the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA).

The project comprising 50 houses was constructed by the NHDA within eight months to settle displaced families in the North.
