New tourist hotel for Thalduwa

The newly opened ‘Thalduwa Manor’ tourist hotel

Thalduwa Manor, an 11-room tourist hotel managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC was opened by Senior Cabinet Minister Athauda Seneviratne near Thalduwa, Avissawella, recently.

Minister Seneviratne commended the company for its diversification effort and expressed confidence that the new hotel would benefit the people of the area and local and foreign travellers.

Malwatte Valley Plantation CEO and Managing Director, W. L. Bogtstra said that the Thalduwa Manor was the first of a series of new tourist ventures undertaken by the company.

Located in Thalduwa in proximity to the Avissawella-Hatton main road, Thalduwa Manor was an old colonial bungalow before being transformed to a brand new boutique hotel.

The Manor offers the comfort of six luxury and five semi-luxury rooms in the rubber plantation. The hotel has a swimming pool and the environs are also suitable for trekking and hiking.
