CRICKET: Left-hander Jeevan Mendis scored his maiden first class double hundred as the Tamil Union piled up a massive 546 for 8 in their first innings on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match against Ragama CC which continued at the P. Saravanamuttu Oval yesterday.

Ragama CC: 225.

Two magnificent centuries from opener Malinda Warnapura and all rounder Roshen Silva helped Colts CC build up a good first innings lead over Chilaw Marians CC on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which continued at Havelock Park yesterday.
