Infertility treatment at Manipal

Sri Lankan childless couples will get an opportunity to have infertility treatment facilities in India shortly.

The Golden Key Reproductive Health Services (GKRHS), Rajagiriya last week signed a business partnership with the Manipal Hospital Group in Bangalore, India to perform the proposed infertility treatment.

Addressing a press briefing in Colombo, Director, GKRHS, Nishantha Dantanarayana quoted Health statistics on childless couples in Sri Lanka and said that a large number of such couples prefer infertility treatment.

He said with this strategic partnership between Manipal Andrology and Reproductive Services (MARS) and GKRHS, Sri Lankan childless couples could now obtain high quality infertility treatment with greater convenience and with reduced cost.

"Under this program childless couples will undergo initial treatment procedures such as ultra sound scanning, IUI, sperm analysis, hysteroscopy, hormone injections, under the guidance of doctors and embryologists".

He said couples who seek treatment will get a significant cost reduction on accommodation, air fares and the most needed peace of mind.
