RR Donnelley opens second BPO facility

BPO services provider RR Donnelley & Sons opened its second outsourcing facility at the World Trade Centre, last week.

The company’s global outsourcing service provides transaction processing and financial services to clients in Europe and the United States of America.

New client engagements along with the growth of existing client relationships have driven the need for the expansion.

We have added two new state of the art facilities in India and recently a second facility in Manila, Philippines.

The network, enables seemless delivery of work on a 24/7 basis, said Senior Vice President, Sri Lanka and Trivandrum RR Donnelley’s Global Outsourcing, Asia Operations, Devapriya Perera.

“Colombo is an attractive location for RR Donnelley because of its access to a highly skilled talent pool. In Sri Lanka we focus on knowledge based transaction processing to support the finance industry, Perera said.

Vice President and Head Human Resources and Communications RR Donnelley’s Global Outsourcing, Asia Operations Meena Sinha said, RR Donnelley opened a BPO Unit in 1983 focusing on the UK market but today with rapid and steady growth we have become the third party and the largest BPO services provider in the country providing services to the US market as well”.

“With the new expansion we are recruiting 1,000 more employees while we already have employed 300. RR Donnelley’s Global services is a pioneer in providing judgment based outsourcing solutions, supporting clients through four vertically integrated service platforms and transaction processing.

The company’s global outsourcing business in Asia provides judgment based professional support and industry focused solutions, including legal support, financial management, premedia, transaction processing and real estate services.

Clients include fortune 1000 companies, professional service organisations and financial services firms across Europe and the United States.
