Texas Golf C'ship on June 25

Victoria Golf and Country Resort will conduct its annual Texas Scramble Golf Championship 2011 at the Victoria Golf Course next June 25 with the first tee off at 7.30 a.m.

This golf championship will be sponsored by Victoria Golf and Country Resort and a very large number of golfers are expected to participate.

This championship will be a team event with four golfers making up a team. They could comprise both ladies and gentlemen with a captain. The team should also have a name and the average handicap of the four golfers will be the handicap of the team.

In the past this championship had tremendous interest and has been a very colourful event, with the golfers coming in various attire as there were awards for the Best Dressed team and Most Colourful Golfer.

Victoria Golf Course which has won a large number of top awards since it was opened for golfers in 1998 is a picture of perfection these days.

But the course is an usual challenging which will require the golfers to use their skills to come to terms with it.

Some of the colourful teams which had participated in the past are the Samson and the Delilahs, Hazards the Kandyans.
