St.Servatius College, Matara in a two-day cricket coaching camp

CRICKET: St.Servatius' College, Matara are taking their cricket with all seriousness and they hold a two-day coaching camp for under 15 and under 17 at the Uyanwatte Stadium, Matara.

The players were tested for endurance, speed and agility and flexibility. The players were also tested for their knowledge of fielding positions. Then each player's batting and bowling was videoed and school coach A.M. Priyantha pointed out remedial actions. Sri Lanka Cricket's District coach for Galle Lasith Chaminda and for Matara Prasanna Galappathi assisted.

Mental preparation was another aspect that was discussed and players' faulty actions were discussed and the correct techniques were also shown to the players.

The coaches will also re-assess the progress made by the players shortly.
