President discusses entrepreneur-friendly budget proposals with

Members of the Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) met
President Mahinda Rajapaksa to discuss plans for young entrepreneurs and
local industries. Assurances were given that COYLE will extend its
fullest support to President Rajapaksa to make Sri Lanka conducive for
business, an attraction for foreign direct investments and a major
economic hub in the Asian Region.
The meeting was held at Temple Trees. Secretary to the President,
Lalith Weeratunga and Secretary to the Treasury Dr. P. B.Jayasundera
also participated in the meeting.
Entrepreneurs create wealth for society and the nation. They add
value to indigenous raw material and talents and create employment
opportunities and their contribution to the national economy is
substantial. Economic policies conducive to promote entrepreneurs and
enterprises should bring positive results to the country and the public,
said, Chairman COYLE Nayana Dehigama. In uncertain market conditions, as
individuals the challenges and risks faced by entrepreneurs in the
process of wealth creation are enormous, he said.
