Panasonic and Softlogic introduce eco-friendly products

Panasonic and Softlogic introduced its product line-up of energy
saving home electronics as "Eco-friendly" products and also held the
first Eco convention in Sri Lanka last week with the participation of -
Managing Executive Officer of Panasonic Corporation, Yorihisa Shiokawa.

The products include the 'VIERA Plasma TVs' and 'VIERA LED LCD TVs'
'Econavi' washing machine" Intelligent Inverter Refrigerator and the
energy saving electric iron.
The company also introduced 'Ceiling Fans' featuring the combination
of innovative functionality and contemporary design, to the Sri Lanka
market.
Shiokawa said Panasonic wants to enhance business in Sri Lanka as
there is potential with the peaceful environment and stability. He said
the company mission is to protect the environment and this range will
support the company to achieve the objective.
He said Panasonic, aims at becoming the number one Green Innovation
Company in the Electronics industry by 2018, the 100th anniversary of
its founding. Shiokawa said "I'm convinced that Sri Lanka with
six-renowned world heritage sites will take the lead in the economy and
ecology in the region.
Panasonic provides "Smart and Eco" lifestyles through its products
and ideas for life".
"Contribution to environment protection does not necessarily require
special efforts and can be done by selecting products or solutions that
are environment friendly."
Panasonic provides energy saving appliances. Chairman Softlogic
Holdings, Ashok Pathirage said, "Softlogic and Panasonic are embarking
on an initiative centering around Panasonic Eco products which will help
safeguard our planet and introduce more harmonious consumer habits among
customers.
The Panasonic Eco Convention was an ideal platform to showcase the
technologically advanced range of Eco products.
