SLT spreads the wealth of knowledge

SLT donated books to Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya Spreading the wealth of knowledge.

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), in collaboration with the Asia Foundation, conducted a book distribution program at Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo 8 to commemorate Children's Day.

The books were distributed to children studying in year 1 to 11, and covered a diverse range of subjects such as English Language, Geography, Science, History, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Sports and story books. Annually, SLT, in collaboration with the Asia Foundation, donates more than 120,000 books to schools, libraries, educational and professional institutions with the aim of playing a catalytic role in addressing the needs of primary, secondary, tertiary and professional education sectors in the country, under one of SLT's major ongoing CSR projects 'Spreading the wealth of knowledge'. SLT hopes to complete the target of donating approximately 130,000 books during this year as well.
