Mobitel SMART Data plans making Smartphones even smarter

As the national mobile service provider, Mobitel has been in the forefront in keeping with advanced technology in Asia and has over the years, remained true to its commitment of offering the latest technology that is needed for Sri Lanka’s rapid development. Being the first in Asia, to successfully demonstrate 4G LTE technology and achieving a data rate of 96 Mbps, the telecommunications provider has proved that it has been successful and has consistently maintained its vision of “Leading Sri Lanka towards an InfoCom and knowledge rich society through its service offerings”.

Mobitel recently introduced unique data plans for its SMART pre-paid customers, enabling the smartphone users to access the internet at their leisure via these special packages for smartphones. The all new SMART Data Plans also enable customers to use their smartphones as a dongle by linking it with a laptop or a computer to access the internet.

The SMART Data Plans are designed to cater to the diverse requirements of the Mobitel clientele. As such, data plans are now available with one day data plan at Rs. 20 which will allow the user 100 MB of data to surf the internet while the seven days data plan for Rs. 75 enables a data bundle of 200 MB. The 30-day plan gives the user the option of enjoying 1 GB of data at Rs. 299 and 3 GB of data at Rs. 799, depending on the customer’s specific requirements.
