Easy way to draw flowers:
Generally
speaking, flowers are much easier to draw than to paint. When it comes
to drawing flowers the first thing to keep in mind is to get the correct
basic shape on paper or whatever material you choose to draw on. The
details of petals, stems and so on could be done later. But when it
comes to painting flowers the task is harder. Many colours and dozens of
tones may be required.

So, initially do a careful study of the particular flower you want to
draw and do a pencil drawing of it. Next go over your pencil outline
with a pen.
Illustrators need to know how to complete the flower so that it looks
just like a real flower.
This is basically done with the lines of the drawing as well as with
shading. Use the most simple of shading for your first exercise.
Remember to construct every one of your drawings from a basic
complete outline inwards. This is vital, in all your work. Many artists
try to draw what they see, line by line at a time, in isolation from the
picture. This is a big mistake because one wrong line, perhaps too long
or too short - will cause all the lines that follow to be wrong. Avoid
falling into this trap. It isn't necessary to cover the whole flower
with lines. Indeed doing that could make the drawing rather boring.
Notice how the light falls, and then start shading.
A white flower with an orange centre, (figure 1) - an ox eye daisy -
is usually easier to draw. Take a look at the flowers in figure 2. In
both Figure 1 and Figure 2, initially the outline is shown, (the
formation of the flower) and later the complete flower, drawn in pen and
ink is shown.
