Ape urumaya lovata genagiya Bell

Sirisaman Wijetunga's latest book Ape urumaya lovata genagiya Bell is
the first in a series entitled Urumaye Niyamuvo.
The book is an account of H. C. P. Bell who was the first
Archaeological Commissioner of Ceylon. The Indian born Bell came to Sri
Lanka as a civil servant.
He was fascinated by the country's architecture, art and other
aspects of historical heritage of Sri Lanka.
Sirisaman Wijetunga was an Assistant Director of Archaeology.
At present he is a member of the advisory council of the
Archaeological Department.
The book is published by Wijesuriya Grantha Kendraya, Mulleriywa.

Maha Bharatha Kaviyo

Viveka Samarasinghe's latest book Maha Bharatha Kaviyo gives short
accounts of 31 Indian poets.
The book opens with an account of Valmiki followed by a string of
other poets such as Kalidas, Nanda Das, Bihari Lal, Bhushan, Deva,
Rabindranath Tagore, Sarojini Naidu, Jayashankar Prasad, Mahadevi Varma,
Radha Krishnadas and several others.
The book will be useful for those who study Hindi.
