D.K. Ranaweera struck a whirlwind 140 off 136 deliveries with twelve fours and four sixes to guide Edirisinghe Trust Investments to a 152 run win over Sampath Bank in their Mercantile Premier League cricket match at the Moratuwa Stadium yesterday.

Centurion, Ranaweera and Eranga Gangoda (66) were associated in 147 run partnership for the sixth wicket to boost the winners.

Test opener Lahiru Thirimanne (61) and left arm leg spinner Upul Indrasiri (five for 55) fashioned a 5 wicket win for John Keells against Seylan Bank in their Singer Mercantile Premier League cricket match played at the BOI grounds Katunayake yesterday.
