Ford donates $ 10,000 to forest conservation project
The “Fire Prevention in Knuckles Forest Reserve” project has been
selected as the winner of the Environmental and Conservation and Grants
program in Sri Lanka Future Auto Mobiles Co., Sajeewa Premaratne said.
The 'Knuckles Forest Reserve Project' was selected as the winner. It
will receive $ 10,000 from Ford Motor Company to implement the proposal,
he said.
Ford Motor Company's Conservation and Environmental Grants program
has become an annual event in the Asia Pacific. This program is one of
the many initiatives that Ford carries out to care for the environment
and contribute to a better quality of life. “Environment conservation,
protection and education are integral parts of our business, both in
product development and the execution of our community efforts”, he
said.
The Sri Lankan program was recorded in late 2011 and Future
Automobiles, Ford's authorised dealership in Sri Lanka received 53
applications in response to the advertisements, he said.
