Langdon House emerge champs

ATHLETICS: Langdon House with 625 points emerged champions of the
Inter-House Athletic Championship of Girls High School, Kandy held at
the Bogambara Stadium recently.
Lawrence House was placed second with 530 points, Samson House came
third with 499 points, Eden House fourth 337 points.
The chief guest at the meet was Sports Minister Mahindananda
Aluthgamage while the Chief Minister of Central Province Sarath
Ekanayake was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.

100 metres champ receives award... Doink Jayakody (Centre)
of Lawrance House who won the 400 metres for girls under-17
receives a bouquet of flowers from Mrs. Mahen Ratwatte –
wife of the Mayor of Kandy. Shehani Udukumbura (Langdon
House) partly covered on right came second and Fazim Hanan
(on right) of Lawrence House came third. |
