Sitehi Randunu Gee

Sitehi Randunu gee, a concert to raise funds for heart surgery of Artiste Aris Mohamed and musician Kalashuri Harun Sabha, will be held on March 30 at 7 p.m. at Sanhinda in Nugegoda.

The highlight of the event is to present 10 old artistes with gifts of dry rations at the event. The well-wishers and prospective donors can make their donations for the old artistes of the yester-years at the event. The concert is organised by Siri Lanka Eksath Kala Sandhanaya.

W. Premaratne, Ishak Beg, Priyankara Perera, Sriya Dissanayake, Suriyakumara Muttalage and Divya Sepali will sing while the music is by Ernest Zoysa. The Musical evening to felicitate old artistes was held recently at the Namel Malini Punchi theatre in Borella. Ten artistes of the yester-years were felicitated.

A new production of Henry Jayasena's award-wining play Kuveni by Samudra Jeewani Karunananda will be staged on March 25 at 3.30 p.m and 7 p.m at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo 7.

Yashodhara Sarachchandra and Kusumsiri Liyanarachchi's children's play Dangaya and Punchi Andare will go on the boards on March 24 at 3.30 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo 7.
