Prestige Automobile sold 700 BMW cars in 2011
Prestige Automobile (Pvt) Ltd, the authorised distributor for BMW in
Sri Lanka sold 700 cars last year while the company sold only 44 cars in
2010.

Sri Lanka is an important market for BMW and we are confident of BMWs
future in Sri Lanka , said MD BMW Group Asia, Neil Fiorentinos at the
launch of the new BMW 3 series.
He said that the BMW 3 series is one of our key volume models and has
traditionally been popular among our customers.
With its new and improved looks enhanced performance,efficiency and
comfort we are confident that it will be well received.
Chairman and Managing Director of Prestige Automobile (Pvt) Ltd,
Heinz A. Reuter said that with the increase in volume and sales we have
invested in maintenance and the centre will be opened next month.
Reuter said that they would launch many more variants to the market
in the future.
The BMW 3 series will be available in two variants the BMW 328i and
the BMW320i He said that Sri Lankan customers are very interested in the
technicalities of the vehicles they purchase.
The age of the customers who purchase BMW cars is lower compared to
the customers of their competitors while their education level is high.
He said that the Sri Lankan motor industry is stepping into maturity
after many years and it is a positive sign. He said “ we must be doing
well for the Managing Director of BMW Asia to visit Sri Lanka after 10
years.”
