International HR Conference from June 26-27

The International HR Conference organised by the Institute of Personnel Management will be held on June 26 and 27 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla.

At the inaugural sessions on June 26 the IPM HR Gold Medal for the Most Outstanding HR Professional of the Year will be awarded to an HR personality who has made a significant contribution in the field of Human Resource Management and Development in Sri Lanka and five category awards based on five key result areas of HR Management discipline and to the best PQHRM Professional of the year.

Chairman for the International HR Conference, Dhammika Fernando and Vice President IPM Sri Lanka said, '. Horaciao Quiros, President of the World Federation of People Management Associations will be the guest of honour and kenote speaker at the inaugural session. "Local and foreign speakers will make presentations sharing the indepth knowledge to support the new dimensions and align HRM with business strategies to bring greater shareholder wealth", he said.

Presentations by professionals will be made:

•"Global HR Forum", an interactive session attended by all international personalities,

•"Tripartite Session" by Union Leaders, Employer representatives and the State,

•"Great HR Debate",This is a competition open to public and private institutions which have dedicated Units or Staff for HR Function. Each team will have four members and two reserves. The competition will be conducted on knock out basis and the final round will be held on June 27 at the HR Conference where the winner will receive the IPM Intercompany
