Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa defeated Asoka Vidyalaya, Colombo by 137 runs in their inter-school under-17 division one tournament cricket match conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and worked off at Kotte.

Batting first visitors collected 236 for 9 in their allotted fifty overs and in reply homesters were all out for a paltry 99 runs with Tarindu Ratnayake taking 4 for 30.
