"Office 365 will be revolutionary in the way modern corporates
operate in the future. Enabled on cloud platform it will support a host
of their mature products to be accessed on a need to use basis. Cloud
computing allows enterprises to run their applications faster, with
improved manageability and less maintenance, and enables IT to rapidly
adjust resources to meet fluctuating and unpredictable business demand,"
a spokesman for the company said.
"The use of Office 365 will help business become more efficient and
help reduce their Capex cost which will become a game changer for
businesses and give them an edge over competition," said Director,
Enterprise Partner Group at Microsoft, Imran Visecassim.
"This new software will be a complete shift in the way IT operates in
a business environment and even shift existing loci on how the CEO and
CIO will approach IT-related decisions in their companies," he said.
Cloud service with the availability of Office 365, brings together
Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Exchange Online
and Microsoft Lync Online in an always-up-to date service.
Country Manager for Microsoft Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Sriyan de
Silva Wijeratne said, "This launch is a significant achievement for Sri
Lanka. Office 365 is not just another global product launched in Sri
Lanka. I am proud to say that Sri Lanka is among a few selected
countries in South East Asia to have this service. With Office 365,
businesses can now access enterprise-ready business solutions with a
predictable monthly or annual subscription, effectively removing the
need for significant upfront investments in IT infrastructure and
maintenance."
