SLIC - insurers for Nelum Pokuna Theatre

Sri Lanka Insurance Company (SLIC) was selected as the insurance partner for the Mahinda Rajapakse Nelum Pokuna(MRNP) Theatre.

The policy was handed over to Senior Assistant Secretary (Administration), C N Vithanachchi at the MRNP Theatre.

Vithanachchi said, "Careful consideration was given in choosing an insurance partner for the MRNP Theatre, as it is a national asset. The reinsurance methods of the insurer, the long-term claim paying ability, the asset base, the technical knowledge the company possesses and the international financial ratings were considered when choosing an insurer."

Chief Officer, General Insurance of SLIC, Ainsley Alles said, "As the national insurer we are indeed honoured to be the chosen partner to insure the national theatre, which would be a benchmark in the history of theatre and performing arts of Sri Lanka".
