HNB to sponsor CA (Lanka)

Hatton National Bank (PLC) will sponsor the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) for 2012.

"As one of the country's premier private sector commercial banks, the lead sponsorship extended to CA Sri Lanka will assist the Institute in carrying out its numerous educational and professional development activities for the benefit of students, members and professionals from other sectors", a spokesman for the Bank said.

Managing Director and CEO of Hatton National Bank, Rajendra Theagarajah, said HNB was pleased to renew the lead sponsorship to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Sri Lanka for the fifth consecutive year. He said that CA Sri Lanka being the foremost national accountancy body of the country, is responsible for setting up of accountancy and auditing standards and HNBs continuous sponsorship support to the Institute emphasises the importance the Bank places to promote professionalism and best practices in accountancy and auditing.
