Honeywell introduces industrial safety products

US brand Honeywell introduced industrial safety products to Sri Lanka recently at a workshop organised by Honeywell International (India). Sales Manager, Srikanth Kadiyali was present at the launch and an awareness program on the advantage of the use of industrial safety tools was also held.

Marlboro Trading Company is the sole distributor of Honeywell industrial safety products in Sri Lanka.

Commissioner, Industrial Safety, Department of Labour, Sujatha Wijesundara was the chief guest at the one-day workshop on industrial safety.She spoke on the importance of educating stakeholders in the industrial sector on industrial safety and said, “that some companies only sell products and do not invest in awareness programs.”

Officials of the Department of Labour said that accidents are caused due to unsafe measures and not using safety tools, caused untold damage. “When accidents of a large magnitude take place, many industries suffer heavy losses including the loss of lives of valuable employees, and damage to plant and machinery,” they said. The Company introduced a number of industrial safety tools under Honeywell brand such as Howard Leight, Miller, North, Salisbury, KCL, Muck Boot.
