Bakeer Markar memorial lecture tomorrow

Former Director General of Al Jazeera, Wadah Khanfar will deliver the 15th annual M.A. Bakeer Markar commemorative lecture on 'Arab Aweakening; Birth of a new Political Paradigm', delivered by tomorrow at Sambuddattwa Jayanthi auditorium, Thunmulla, Colombo, commencing at 4.45 pm.

A media forum on 'Media Ethics and Good Governance' with the participation of Khanfar will also be held on September 11 at 8.00 am at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo. Khanfar will also make a visit Sri Lanka's first Muslim mosque, Masjidul Abrar, built by early Arab settlers at Maradana, Beruwala at 6.00 pm.

The programs are organised by the Bakeer Markar Centre for National Unity (BMCNU).
