LG-Abans 'T20 Walk'
The Abans is organising a 'Walk' to wish the Sri Lanka Cricket team
on September 14, starting from Abans head office at Galle Road, Colombo
3, along Kollupitiya Junction, Liberty Plaza, Duplication Road,
Bambalapitiya Junction and return to Abans.
Book launch on Sept 18
Consultant Surgeon and member of the National Committee for
Prevention of Injuries Dr. Wijaya Godakumbura will launch the Sinhala
book 'Protect your child from injury' on Tuesday, September 18 at 4.30
pm at the book launching pad, opposite Sirimavo Bandaranaike Exhibition
Hall.
The book has 310 pages in 14 chapters on the leading causes of
accidents such as road accidents, drowning, burns, poisoning, snake
bites, animal bites natural disasters, suicide etc., with many tables
and photographs.
The book ends with tips on prevention of the said.
Sarath Wimalasiri on 'Shraddhanjalee'
The Sinhala National Service of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting
Corporation will present a well-known lyric composer, poet and a
freelance journalist W.K. Sarath Wimalasiri of the Bank of Ceylon - Head
Office through Shraddhanjalee program on September 29 from 12.00 p.m. to
12.45 p.m. (BINARA Full Moon Poya day).
He will make an analytical presentation of the songs composed, based
on various themes that come in Buddhist Literature.
